Job description
Provide Electrical and Mechanical support for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or modifying machinery or facility related equipment. Primary focus is to provide repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors and other material handling related systems in support of Distribution.
Opportunity to earn up to $80,000 per year + $5,000 sign on bonus

What You Do.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment taking appropriate safety measures.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain the plant manufacturing equipment systems using mechanical and electrical knowledge and trouble shooting skills.
- Service and requisitions entered on CMMS as required.
- Utilize the predictive maintenance diagnostic tools provided, documenting and interpreting results, taking appropriate measures when needed to prevent failure.
- Study and become highly proficient with equipment, control, and mechanical interfacing for repair and troubleshooting purposes.
- Troubleshoot machines and mechanical condition. Recommend repairs and initiate Work Orders to correct. Troubleshoot machine controls, such as motor control, frequency drives, PLC, etc.
- Lubrication of facility support equipment.
- Complete work order assignments in a timely manner.
- Comprise and recommend updated PM's to equipment, based on findings during repair or preventive tasks, when appropriate.
- Proactive in identifying and reacting to potential hazards, maintenance-related, with material handling equipment.
- All preventative maintenance for the assigned area.
- Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation taking appropriate measures when needed to prevent failure.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System for preventative maintenance and record keeping.
- Utilize the predictive maintenance diagnostic tools provided, documenting and interpreting results, taking appropriate measures when needed to prevent failure.
- Provide support for opposing shift, maintenance related activity or projects.
- Provide shift summary of priority events daily; utilizing e-mail and or work request process.
- Maintains daily activity logs.
- Daily interaction with production group for support with setup repair items as needed.
- Study and become highly proficient with equipment, control, and mechanical interfacing for repair and troubleshooting purposes.
- Complete work order assignments within the given amount of time allowed.
- Research and suggest improvements based on know experienced component failure or reliability.
- Comprise and modify PMs to equipment based on findings during repair or preventive tasks when appropriate.
- Perform detailed analysis and recommend repair solutions when equipment is not performing up to mechanical or electrical design expectations.
- Perform dynamic assessment of maintenance related repairs in assigned area and keep procedures up to date to optimize procedures.
- Share any newly learned discoveries pertinent to repair or troubleshooting techniques that will assist team to react more efficiently and safely.
- Be an active participant in open communications between all departments and shifts.
- Follow the Sargento Code of Business and Personal Ethics.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Actively able to perform essential job functions as determined by Human Resources.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- The employee may occasionally be required to work at various heights.
Your Education and Experience.
- An Associate degree in a technical discipline or a journey worker credential in an accredited technical discipline required for advancement to Skill level 3 and above.
- 2-3 years experience with PLC & controls preferred.
- Additional electrical and mechanical on the job training demonstrated skill set preferred.
- SAP knowledge and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Additional educational courses will be required as needed to sustain departmental/individual technological levels and licenses; continued education
