Cardiac Sonographer

Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake is a nonprofit, 40-bed community hospital that serves northwest Wisconsin. No other area hospital offers the number of full-time, resident doctors and specialists that we have on its staff. Rice Lake work shifts available include:
Mon - Fri; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (R-)
Mon - Fri; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (R-)

The Cardiac Sonographer uses echocardiography or ultrasound equipment to evaluate the cardiac system allowing the physician to diagnose the patient's cardiac function. The individual will record patient history, analyze technical information, and provide summaries of findings to physicians.

Requires an Associate's degree or technical diploma in a related health care program; Bachelor's degree preferred. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) awarded by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within two years of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred. Patient care experience required. One year of experience as a cardiac sonographer preferred.
