Job description

I am currently working with a well-known food manufacturer that has been providing fresh locally processed, high-quality products for 30 years. They are actively searching for a Maintenance Tech to add to their team!

They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, responsible for manufacturing, efficiency, inventory, safety, maintenance for the department and shift. Assessing needs and helping to achieve company and facility goals in collaboration with other department supervisors and management.

They have an excellent group of employees that are highly trained and now they are looking for a true leader.

Responsibilities include:

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.

• 
  

  Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machines and building systems.

• 
  

  Inspect and maintain drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and filters.

• 
  

  Use a variety of tools, from hand tools to precision instruments and testing devices.

• 
  

  Assemble, install, or repair electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery.

• 
  

  Diagnose and fix mechanical problems using blueprints and repair manuals.

• 
  

  Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.

• 
  

  Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

• 
  

  Comply with SQF 2000 processes for product safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds:

• 2 years of experience in management within a dairy or pasteurization facility

• 
  

  Need to be highly motivated, have great communication and leadership skills.

• 
  

  Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform all manufacturing operations.

• 
  

  Familiarity working with data management programs.

• 
  

  Strong understanding of GMP's and Food Safety

•
