Job description

We have partnered a leading regional agriculture company dedicated to supporting local farmers and livestock producers. They specialize in producing high-quality animal feed, and are looking for a motivated 2nd Shift (1PM-9PM) Feed Mill Operator to help them maintain their commitment to excellence.

Position Summary

As the primary operator at the feed mill, you will be responsible for mixing and preparing feed ingredients to ensure consistency and quality. This role is vital to their operations and offers opportunities for advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingredient Mixing: Accurately measure and mix various ingredients to produce animal feed according to specifications.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor feed mill machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the feed meets company standards and customer expectations.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of ingredient inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues to management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED: Required; additional education in agriculture or related fields is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in a feed mill, agriculture, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machinery and equipment operation.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with others.
