Job description

Amentum is seeking an Technician to support operations at the DOE Rock Springs Oil Shale Restort Test Site near Rock Springs WY. The candidate must be energentic with good interpersonal and team building skills and be able to function independently with moderate supervision. Additionally, the candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills and be proficient with Mircosoft Office Suite. Operate and maintain air compressors. Take and record operational readings (i.e., flow and pressure readings). Repair air lines, piping, valves, and fittings. Mechanical skills (e.g., change oil and filters on equipment, etc). Small mechanical repairs, carpenter skills, and painting skills. General housekeeping/cleaning of office trailer and compressor buildings. Routine site maintenance (e.g., grounds keeping, picking up garbage and trash, fence repairs, cutting grass and weeds, etc.). Computer skills and reporting of daily activities in log book. Measure and record water levels in groundwater wells. Collect groundwater samples. Collect vent gas samples. Review reports. Minimum Requirements: US Citizen Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
