Job description

I am urgently searching for hospitalists that can cover shifts in rural, sometimes remote areas. These areas are in desperate need of medical doctors. I am currently searching for a Hospitalist in Worland, Wyoming. The physician must have an active WY license, be certified (BE/BC) IM/ Hospitalist, have a Clean DEA & NPDB (no active suits or unresolved cases), and have a minimum of one year experience. The physician must also have ACLS, be able to intubate, and sign off on intubations for credentialing. The provider is typically required to do admits and rounding. The following dates of coverage are needed in these communities:
Worland, Wyoming
10/2 - 10/5

Provider must be able to take the full 4 day period. All shifts are 24 hours, typically 12-15 hour shifts in the facility, plus night call. Shift times are generally 12pm - 12pm. Orientation is always on a weekday, and is typically 4 hours. If the shift falls on a weekend, orientation will be scheduled sometime Monday through Friday between 8am & 5pm. If the shift falls on a weekday, the provider must arrive on the first day at 8am to complete orientation from 8am-noon. Morning rounds typically begin between 7am and 8am. The client will cover hotel the first night of arrival, then the provider will stay in facility owned lodging. Informal rounding to preempt issues that could occur during the night, are encouraged. It is also a good opportunity to interact with the ED and nursing staff between 9 and 10 pm to evaluate patients. Transition order are used to admit patients between 11pm & 6am, and are written by the ED physicians. These admits must be rounded on the following morning after ICU patients. All high acuity level ICU patients require immediate bedside evaluation at the time of admission, regardless of time of day. The location is such that the physician will need to either drive in, or fly to the nearest airport, and drive to the site. There will be orientation prior to the start, which will alter travel for the shifts needed. Travel and lodging will be provided, along with malpractice insurance. The provider must come alone as lodging is generally on-site in a physician designated sleeping room.
