Your new role
In your new role as a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for controlling and coordinating the installation and development of capital equipment and production facilities. You will ensure that projects are meticulously planned and managed to meet production requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in managing high-value capital projects from conception to commissioning, within budget and time constraints. You will also be tasked with writing equipment specifications and improving the robustness of equipment design.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need an HNC level qualification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering. You should have experience in project managing the installation of equipment and a proven ability to manage high-value capital projects. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities are essential. While not mandatory, a degree-level qualification and experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
