Head of Finance for a growing, professional services business, open to full-time or part-time options

Your new companyAn innovative professional services firm based in Poole is seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. For the right person this role could be either part or full-time, offers hybrid-working and the firm has excellent benefits and is very family friendly. Your new role

  • Overseeing a team of cashiers / accounts assistants.
  • Bringing financial/management reporting in-house in the future (currently outsourced).
  • Processing of client and office payments and receipts on Bankline and Leap (case management software).
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Raising invoices for disbursements.
  • Purchase/ Nominal Ledger invoices & payments.
  • Liaising with relevant external parties, regulatory bodies and compliance officers.
  • Handling accounts enquiries.
  • Maintaining Xero and client's accounts.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience working within a legal practice environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong IT and technical skills with experience in accounts software.
  • Attention to detail.
  • You will have some existing people management experience.
  • Flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm.
  • A growth mindset, happy helping to drive change.
