Your new company
Based in Clydebank, our client is recruiting for a Finance Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am - 12.30pm. There is also a flexible working system in place that allows you to claim back time should you start or finish early. The organisation can be accessed by local public transport and there is also on-site parking.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Team Lead will work alongside a colleague and supervise a finance team of 4. You will undertake a range of financial duties, including but not limited to; balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset register maintenance, P&L analysis, stock management analysis, VAT returns, reporting for management, supporting transactional finance duties (purchase& sales ledger and credit control), assisting in audit preparation and further associated tasks. Your supervisory duties will involve, but will not be limited to; coaching of staff, dealing with appraisals, handling escalated issues and other ad hoc tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of the varied financial tasks listed above and be keen to learn in areas in which you may be less experienced. You do not require staff supervisory experience but must be passionate about developing your skills in this area. Full staff management training will be provided both on the job and by external training providers.
The IT system used is Microsoft Dynamics and whilst experience of this package is advantageous but not essential, you must have good working knowledge of Excel. You will have strong communicative abilities, both verbal and written, and be comfortable adapting to change and working as part of a team.

What you'll get in return
This is a rare and exciting role for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant to progress in their career by being given the opportunity to undertake staff management responsibilities. Alongside excellent working hours and a bonus scheme, also on offer for the successful candidate is a study support package, should this be of interest.
