About the role

We are looking to appoint several highly creative and passionate Basketry Tutors for the Contemporary Crafts programme area within the School of Visuals Arts. You will be part of a team delivering a wide range of basketry courses across levels from beginner to intermediate learners. We aim to provide access to general skills alongside more specialist workshops in a range of relevant subject areas including coiling, twining, cordage, and, working with materials such as Cane, Rush and woven materials.

To be considered, please submit your CV and a covering letter, detailing your skills and experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A teaching qualification
  • Experience of teaching by practical demonstration and one-to-one support in a classroom setting
  • A qualification relevant to Bookbinding
  • Experience teaching adults in formal or leisure environments
