Global Procurement Lead - Packaging

Location - Central London

Salary - £80k-£90k + Excellent Benefits Package

This globally renowned manufacturer is currently undergoing an exciting period of aggressive expansion in the UK following double-digit sales growth in 2023. A new permanent position has just opened up in the company's HQ in London location for a Global Procurement Manager for Packaging. The role will see you working closely with the global procurement director, who reports in CPO, to oversee the companies' packaging requirements during this period of rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities of the Global Procurement Manager - Packaging position include:

• Designing and implementing new mid- and long-term strategy for packaging procurement in line with changing business strategies
• Deliver on ambitious innovation and sustainability targets that have been set for the packaging spend
• Building excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders in R&D, Quality, Sustainability, Marketing, Finance and others
• Regularly travel to the various offices around the country and occasionally travel internationally to meet suppliers.

Key skills required of the Global Procurement Manager Packaging are:

• A solid track record of project and change management withing packaging procurement
• Background in working within a multinational procurement environment and driving strategic sourcing methodology
• Excellent ability to communicate, negotiate and influence
• Strong knowledge of procurement contracts management and the strategic sourcing process
• Degree education or equivalent work experience
• MCIPS qualification is highly desirable
