On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a GenAI Python Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a 50/50 hybrid basis with offices in London Marylebone.

Purpose of the Role:

• An exciting new venture in a major investment bank to work in the Generative AI team as a Python Developer. You will design and develop new language models and machine learning use cases for use across the bank. You will also support the existing Generative AI platform service to ensure it's availability and continuous improvement whilst proactively addressing technical, functional or organisational issues facing the team.
• This role sits within the eCommerce and Digital (eC&D) team. This team delivers a broad selection of IT Services and Systems to the Front Office business lines of Global Markets including a range of Generative AI services including AI-Chat, Coding Assistant and specialised business use-cases.
• eC&D require a dynamic developer to join the team delivering a wide set of AI Services.
• GenAI applications are mix of traditional system development paired with new technologies such as Large Language Models and high power Graphic Processing Units - LLM & GPU.
• This role will build traditional IT applications that leverage Generative AI Services.
• This is a developer role but includes a large amount of coordination, communicating and adapting to dynamic circumstances. The successful candidate will have superior initiative and drive to adapt to challenges faced each day, both technical and organisational.

Responsibilities of the role:

• To work as a developer in the Generative AI team which is split between London and Lisbon.
• Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, code reviews and working with infrastructure teams as needed.
• Supporting the Generative AI platform service and ensuring it's availability and continuous improvement to new language models and techniques and use cases.
• Proactively manage all issue facing the team - technical, functional or organisational.

What we require from the candidate:

• The core platform is a Web Application built in Python and React/TypeScript.
• Python and a strong attitude are core requirements.
• Proven track record of Python3+ and Django, fastAPI - ideally 3 years+
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiar with CI/CD processes nominally Jenkins, Ansible.
• Competent DB/SQL skills.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning - Model Testing, popular ML Libraries etc.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate technical concepts and provide specialist guidance and advice to others.
• Ability to work with individuals to set individual objectives and manage performance to ensure their delivery.
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders to act as bridging point.
• Prior experience of operating in a complex and diverse IT environment systems.
• Results orientated with a clear understanding of how the results impact the business counterparts.
