Additional Pay: Sleep-in shifts paid at £70.50

Role Overview:
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a team of Residential Childcare Workers to ensure the highest standard of care and guidance for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential staff to deliver exceptional care.

  • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all children in your care.

  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and policies.

  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional behaviour and practice.

  • Manage and oversee household activities, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

  • Collaborate effectively with external agencies, parents, and other stakeholders.

  • Participate in sleep-in duties, where required, as part of the 7-day variable shift pattern.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Empathy and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Flexibility to work a variable shift pattern, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable:

  • A valid driving licence (strongly preferred to support travel needs related to the role).
