Account Payable Clerk 6 month temp-perm Flexible Blackburn

Your new company
A leading construction company is seeking two diligent and experienced Accounts Payable Clerks to join their finance team on a temporary basis for six months. One of these positions has the potential to become permanent based on performance. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and support a crucial function within the company.

Your new role
Within your new role, it will be your job to support the finance function in the processing of high volumes of purchasing invoices. You will be working closely with operational and finance teams providing support and carrying out the required actions and activities to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of issues and disputes raised in relation to purchase invoices. Your role will also involve responsibility for specific suppliers, ensuring accounts are reconciled in a timely manner, corresponding with suppliers and stakeholders in a professional manner, ensuring correspondence is processed promptly and escalate where necessary. You will also support the management team to ensure best practice and the smooth running of the Accounts Payable systems Process expenses in a timely manner. And liaising with the Accounting team at Head Office to undertake any administrative tasks/projects as required to aid the function of the team as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, experience within a similar position is essential Experience with financial systems - experience with SAP B1 would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of CIS would be an advantage
- Team player, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail, excellent at multitasking and highly organised
- Flexible, enthusiastic and can do attitude
- Previous experience within a finance team is essential
