Warehouse Administrator

Your new company
Hays are working with a large and well established business based in Market Drayton who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Administrator on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment.
Your new role
As a Warehouse Administrator your role will involve:

  • Provide general administration support as required to aid the efficient running of operations.
  • To keep accurate records of pallets to avoid financial exposure and liability.
  • Proactively manage all stock movement documentation, in line with agreed process and procedures.
  • To update the systems with relevant data - movement of cases /pallet transactions.
  • To liaise with customers, haulier's and other departments within the company on all issues relating to the operation.
  • Maintain storage database and schedules with no effect to the service levels and stock integrity.
  • Escalate to the Warehouse Supervisor any issues that are likely to affect the performance of the department, site or relationship with the customer.
  • To comply with Quality, Health and Safety procedures and to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
  • What you'll need to succeed
    • IT Literate includes Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
    • Excellent organizational skills - able to keep all paperwork in methodical order and ensuring the correct paperwork is allocated.
    • Excellent communication skills (Verbally and electronically) - must be able to communicate with the warehouse/Drivers and Office to make sure that all relevant parties are aware of arrival of deliveries to make the day run more efficiently.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment.
    • Motivated and able to work under pressure with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
    • Able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
