Job Title: PHP Laravel & API Developer
Location: Working from home with very occasional site visits in Cardiff (once a month maximum).
Salary/Rate: Up to £550 a day Inside IR35
Start Date: October 2024
Job Type: 6 month Contract (with real scope to extend)

Company Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to work on an exciting API Build project for a large global data analytic company.

In this role, you will join an established Agile team whose focus is on developing API and web-based Identity solutions, developing new features and maintaining the existing platform.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• The project if very focussed on building and re-building API's in PHP Laravel. Current or recent experience of doing this is essential.
• Your experience should also include working on Open API's and Restful API's.
• The current team works in a very Agile way, the majority of the day to day work will be building features on API's and Supporting API functionality.
• There will also be some general Database work, on MySQL and releasing Infrastructure as Code.
• There will be a light touch on Front End development in VueJS.
• The project is nearing the Alfa Testing phase and the contract is likely to extend in the new year for the second phase of the project.

The current team is established and made up of a mix of perm and contract developers and QA engineers.

The team is based in Cardiff Bay, Wales. They require a candidate who is flexible to go into the office if required, this will be at most once a month for workshops or planning sessions. Some months candidates won't be needed in the office at all.
