About the School:

Supply Desk are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Eastbourne with strong recent attainment across the Key Stages, a positive culture of respect and inclusivity and an expanding programme of SEN provision. They are looking to appoint a committed and passionate Teacher of English with a SEN specialism to deliver enthusiastic and engaging lessons for primarily Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is long-term and full-time, with a view for the right candidate to turn permanent.

About the role:

The role is a full-time opportunity, providing mainly Key Stage 3 and 4 lessons in English and English Literature, contributing to the school s excellent academic performance, and leading children with a wide array of circumstances to success. Your lessons will deliver on the National Curriculum and the school s proven teaching framework. Dedicated time for planning and marking is also provided. The school are looking for someone with thorough and up-to-date subject knowledge, good classroom management and a positive approach to teaching and building relationships.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject. A recognised teaching qualification is a plus.
  • Be capable in SEN provision.
  • Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
  • Be a committed team player
  • Proven track record of high attainment in results
  • Be confident and engaging when delivering lesson content
  • Have strong classroom management and rapport-building skills
  • Enthusiastic in contributing to the wider school community in and out of the classroom
