Job description

Torch Technologies is seeking an Application Configuration Manager to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Missile Defense System. The Application Configuration Manager will be an active participant in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary effort to create and sustain a digital engineering environment for developing the Groundbased Midcourse Defense (GMD) system. The successful candidate will enjoy working independently and as part of a team of highly skilled professionals to solve complex technical problems. Responsibilities: Lead the configuration and maintenance of multiple applications across the organization, ensuring seamless data flow and integration between systems. Develop and implement strategic plans for application configuration and integration, aligning with business objectives and IT strategies. Manage day-to-day efforts across multiple customers, from proposal through execution, to enhance efficiency of configuration and BOM management throughout the digital thread. Organize and direct a team of developers and system administrators, providing technical guidance and oversight. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions, and present technical recommendations to executive-level audiences. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to stay current with industry trends and best practices. Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement process improvements. Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and regulations, including RMF, STIG, and NIST. Job Requirements 7 years of experience in application configuration, system administration, and project management, with a focus on security and compliance. Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and mentoring junior professionals. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work at a strategic level, developing and implementing plans to achieve business objectives. Intermediate database skills, including proficiency in SQL and experience with REST API or similar technologies. DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Intermediate Certification (Security+ or equivalent), or ability to obtain certification within six months of start date. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based application configuration and integration (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.). Knowledge of DevOps practices and agile methodologies. Understanding of the Missile Defense System Knowledge of MDA processes and procedures.
