Requisition #: 566 Job Title: System Administrator Location: 2001 Brainard Road, Fort Huachuca, Arizona 85613 Clearance Level: Active DoD - Top Secret SCI Required Certification(s): • Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization SUMMARY Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC's service requirements are categorized in the following areas: T&E Performance Requirements, T&E Capability Management Requirements, T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO) Requirements. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced IT/NSS capabilities. Performs technical assignments in the general areas of C5ISR, AIS, and IT/NSS, applying broad technical knowledge in one or more areas on specific systems or applications. Work requires knowledge of customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to the assigned C5ISR, AIS, and IT/NSS, including legacy systems and latest trends in related technologies. Requires specialized experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving telecommunications system performance. Follows specific layout and diagrams to construct, implement, and operate devices and subunits of equipment. Ensures uninterrupted access to all telecommunication features in support of T&E efforts. Designs, develops, and tests telecommunications software solutions. Reviews, analyzes, develops, installs, and modifies computer operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with operating systems. Interprets manufacturer manuals or similar documents. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems. Provides user training of the telecommunications features and functionality. Makes suggestions to end users regarding communications software and hardware solutions. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the IT field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Leads and directs the work of others. Typically reports to department management or executive. May provide consultation on complex projects and be a top-level contributor/specialist in their department. Must be an expert at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide technical support services for the Testbed Operations and Facilities Division. • Provide system administration to the JITC FHU Testbeds and its customers for the computing environment infrastructure. • Manage hardware and software for information systems within multiple enclaves, classifications, and facilities, both local and distributed. • Provide S/A support for both physical and virtual servers, zero clients, thin clients, and workstations. • Provide IT Tier 2-3 support in support of task. • Manage, maintain, and provide design services for the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) suite of software. • Develop complex reports, workflows and ticket automation. • Configure, monitor, and maintain security posture of environment through log analysis, access controls, configuration management, Security Content Automation Protocol, ACAS, HBSS, etc. • Develop, maintain, and update topology diagrams such as, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Architecture Description, and Standard Operating Procedures experience. • Use designated ticket application for incident, service, problem, application request, configuration, and change management. • Account for and audit/inventory all software and licenses by system (virtual or physical), location, device, and license number. • Support TEC II Task Order(s) as assigned based on PWS requirements. • Operate and maintain telecommunication systems in a UC telecommunication test network for Approved Products List (APL) certification of IP based solutions. • Configure multiple Session Managers for testing. • Provide configurations and support changes to UC network and legacy systems. • Provide test lab associates with systems configuration in accordance with UCR requirements. • Troubleshoot DISA and JITC UC Network issues. QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications • Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization Education, Background, and Years of Experience • Requires a Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree and at least 8 years of experience. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills • Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems. Identifies and resolves problems associated with operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems on both server, desktop, and mobile IT systems. Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backup and recovery procedures. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Performs system capacity analysis and planning, and optimizes system operation and resource utilization. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users. Preferred Skills • Operate and maintain Nortel and REDCOM TDM systems in a Unified Capability (UC) telecommunication test network for Approved Products List (APL) certification of IP based solutions. Configure multiple Session Managers for testing. Perform add, moves and changes for UC network, legacy T1/E1 and Assured Services Session Initiated Protocol (ASSIP) trunk gateways. Provide session manager routing to interface systems under test for voice and video compliance evaluation. Provide test lab associates with systems configuration in accordance with UCR requirements. Setup Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) services for Call Managers and UC network management devices. WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions • Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support testing and training. General • office environment with frequent field duty. Work may require standing and walking for up to 50% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are frequently hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed • within an office environment, with standard office equipment available, or in a tactical field environment. Strength Demands • Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met
