Description

  • Create and implement retail sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing retail sales team, promoting a culture of collaboration, excellence, and ongoing improvement.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to discover growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales strategies with marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, negotiating terms, agreements, and collaborative business plans.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability, prevent stockouts, and control costs.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams for smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.
  • Develop sales forecasts and budgets, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to share updates, best practices, and ensure alignment towards sales goals.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales staff, establishing clear performance expectations and goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market changes to guide strategic decisions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and implement new product strategies based on market insights.
  • Assess sales performance metrics and KPIs, using data to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Represent Jensen Meat Company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to boost brand visibility and expand networking opportunities.
  • Create and deliver effective sales presentations, pitches, and proposals tailored to the needs of retail partners.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in retail sales leadership within the food industry, particularly with meat products or similar categories.
  • Strong knowledge of the dynamics of the retail market.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker capable of turning market insights into actionable sales plans.
  • Skilled in analyzing sales data to identify trends and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and sales management software.
  • Willing to travel as required.
