Job description

Role Summary:
The Free People Movement Social Production Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of social media video production across social social media photoshoots and multiple social platforms. This role requires an organized, creative, and strategic individual who can manage social media production workflows, maintain project management from pre-production to post-production, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality, engaging content is delivered on time. The Social Production Manager will oversee the entire production process, from concept to final delivery, ensuring the brand's paid and organic social presence is dynamic, cohesive, and aligned with marketing objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Content Planning & Execution:

Collaborate with marketing, creative, and social media teams to develop and manage content strategies that align with brand goals and campaigns.

Plan, schedule, and manage the production of social media video content for all social media shoots.

Oversee the entire production process, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring deadlines are met and content meets quality standards.

Project Management:

Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and all finalized content meets brand campaign guidelines.

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (photographers, videographers, freelancers) to execute content production.

Develop and maintain production schedules and calendars for social content.

Input and manage delivery of all asset requests between graphic design team, marketing, and paid social team.

Content Creation:

Collaborate with creative teams to produce high-quality, on-brand visual and multimedia content.

Aid in edits for all video production.

Ensure the content reflects the brand's voice, tone, and style.

Platform Management & Optimization:

Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to optimize content for engagement and reach.

Analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and make recommendations for improvement.

Bring fresh creative ideas to ad campaigns across all channels.

Ensure that content is tailored to each platform's unique audience and format.

Budgeting & Resource Management:

Manage production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and freelancers.

Source and manage tools and resources necessary for efficient content production.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with senior social media manager, creative teams, marketing/brand team, and stakeholders to align content with broader marketing and business objectives.

Provide clear creative briefs and guidelines to production teams to ensure content meets brand standards.

Role Qualifications:

Experience:

5-6+ years of experience in social media production, content creation, project management, or a similar role.

Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat) and their content formats.

Skills:

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Strong creative eye and ability to provide direction on visual and multimedia content.

Proficiency in content production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, and social media management tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with creative teams and external vendors.

Attributes:

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a passion for producing high-quality, engaging content.

Up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, marketing, and production.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, or a related field.
