Job description

LHH is working with a top rated, international law firm to find a dedicated Legal Secretary to join the litigation department in their Century City, CA office. This non-exempt position is ideal for someone with a strong background in e-filing and a comprehensive understanding of State and Federal court processes. The successful candidate will be highly organized, independent, and possess exceptional time management skills.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct extensive e-filing in both State and Federal courts.

  • Prepare tables of contents and authorities for legal documents.

  • Monitor and record deadlines using the Firm's docketing system and individual attorney calendars.

  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documentation.

  • Organize and prepare materials for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.

  • Create and save documents in accordance with Firm protocols.

  • Provide support to multiple attorneys.

  • Process reimbursements and invoices for attorneys and clients.

  • Edit and finalize client proformas and bills.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and quick to learn new software applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong typing and data entry skills.

  • Ability to write basic correspondence and routine messages.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including legal documents, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Strong familiarity with court rules and procedures.

  • Experience filing a variety of court documents, such as complaints, motions, and other legal filings.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.



Compensation:

  • $100,000 to $120,000 The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience, education, and relevant skills

  • Health, Dental, Vision benefits, 401k, etc.

  • Paid Parking

  • Hybrid (in office/from home) work Schedule



Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
