Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate as integral member of an owner's program and project controls team, being directly responsible for scheduling multiple, interdependent projects of a large scale ($100m+ in value). Work collaboratively with other elements of the owner's team, including project managers, construction managers, other controls discipline leads, and claims staff to monitor, report on, and negotiate issues on assigned projects. Review designer and contractor submitted schedules and perform analysis as needed.
Provide owner with objective assessments of schedule delays (using Time Impact Analysis or other means), present summary and detailed findings to owner and/or third parties as needed. Engage in direct discussions with contractor, as needed, to understand basis of delay claims and support owner's understanding of potential liabilities for the negotiation of appropriate settlements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related technical field required.
10 years or more of scheduling experience with 5 plus years in direct support of an active construction project.
Direct forensic scheduling experience to support claims analysis on large-scale, complex heavy civil, vertical and horizontal projects (projects of at least $200M value and 3-years or greater duration) particularly for assessment of delay claims and potential owner's liabilities.
Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build.
Demonstrated experience scheduling for multiple concurrent and interrelated projects.
Ability to effectively communicate technical and schedule related information in oral and written form to non-expert audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively with other subject matter experts and resources to support owner's evaluation of claims.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program, contract and the ability to communicate progress and findings to both technical and management-level personnel.
Prior experience in aviation and large transportation projects, is highly desirable.
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment.
Requires advanced use of Oracle Primavera software (mastery of Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher required), along with related software tools such as Schedule Analyzer, Microsoft Project, Claims Digger, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
Relevant Professional Licensure & Certifications are strongly preferred.
Maybe required to work past regular work shift.
Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.
