PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is looking for an Assembler with our Spectrolab team in Sylmar, CA. This person will perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

Job Title: Assembler
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (3 months)
Location: Sylmar, CA 91342
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 5AM-2:30PM
Pay Rate: $26.24-$32.92 per hour

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs the processes necessary for the fabrication and production of Solar Cells, including Photolithography, Cap Etch/Window Clean, Thinning, Lift-Off, Evaporation, Sinter, Saw-Dice, Lot Code, electrical testing, microscope inspection and Silicon Diodes.

• Performs the processes necessary for growth of semiconductors, including operation of MOCVD vacuum system, Metal Organic material handling and X-Ray Diffraction.

• Performs a variety of technical manufacturing production assembly operations where accurate visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to fabricate production solar cell assemblies and solar panels for space applications.

• Perform hand soldering, wire harness assembly and component bonding

• Operates tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and associated tools

• Adheres to established company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

• Reliable, mechanically inclined, detail orientated

• Ability to work in a team atmosphere and displays a positive attitude

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Must wear a smock, hair cover, and gloves during work

• Assembly of small parts
  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• High School Diploma or equivalent or military/ work experience.

• Computer proficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment

• Ability to lift 20lbs

• Welding / Soldering experience

• Inspection under microscope experience

• Requires accurate visual acuity

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs and sit or stand for more than 8 hours a day

• This position requires the ability to work first or second shift and ability to work overtime
  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience using SAP

Pay Details: $26.24 to $32.92 per hour
