My client is looking for a motivated, fast-paced and strategic thinker who thrives in a procurement role focused on growth and success! This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain operations and procurement strategy for raw materials. You will collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and manage costs effectively.

Client Details

My client is a $1 billion a year health and wellness brand that has grown rapidly over the last decade selling into national and international retailers through out North America. They are in the process of bringing on a Procurement Manager to oversee all facets of raw materials purchasing, working closely with the R&D and innovation teams for all new product development. My client offers a stunning, state of the art office that's occupied on a hybrid basis for all employees. This role requires a candidate to be local to the office near LAX - for all candidates applying outside of Los Angeles, relocation coverage may be provided!

Description

• Lead and own open book costing for company network for raw materials ensuring cost adherence.
• Partner closely with materials team to update current costs and rectify any costing issues between the company and the supplier.
• Maintain raw material approved supplier list and monitor raw material supplier performance.
• Partner closely with the parent company on raw material sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Lead fuel for growth projects for raw materials within the portfolio.
• Own raw material benchmarking analysis and partner closely with finance on financial benefits.
• Support R&D for ingredient sourcing and costing during development process.
• Actively engage with R&D partners during the early phase of innovation to identify suppliers for potential new ingredients.
• Bridge the cross functional team and raw material supplier discussions to establish robust technical specifications, quality and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with R&D and QA teams on changes in raw material suppliers, materials, or processes that could impact product formulation and quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional team on identifying and qualifying alternate suppliers for business resilience.

Profile

• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years in CPG industry required
• MUST have experience with raw materials procurement; food & beverage, cosmetics, personal care products etc
• Ability to manage a small team; the role will eventually hire a direct report
• Local to the office near LAX in Los Angeles - any where from 1-3x/week onsite depending on the need
