Overview:
The Risk and Audit Manager is responsible for the overall management of Frontwave Credit Union's Risk, Audit and Quality Control programs and teams. The Risk and Audit Manager is responsible for the administration, management, and evolution of all aspects of the organization's Compliance, Quality Control, Audit and Risk programs. The Risk and Audit Manager ensures Frontwave is in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies, procedures, and processes, and is responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify threats to assets, earning capacity, and the overall financial success of the organization through enterprise risk management (ERM) and operational risk management programs.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures.
Manages the Risk, Audit and Quality Control teams, and coordinates the development, implementation, and execution of all departmental internal controls, including the Company's Risk Assessment, Internal and External Audits, and QC Activities
Administers the Enterprise Risk Management Program, and produces Risk reporting.
Manages, develops, and oversees risk management and vendor management strategies, policies, projects, reporting, and analytics.
Administers Frontwave's internal audit program, including the creation and execution of the annual Audit Plan.
Acts as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Collaborates with auditors and facilitates audits.
Maintains collaborative business partnerships with all business units to understand and improve core business activities, risks, products, and transactions to appropriately customize and support the organization.
Drives comprehensive and consistent practices designed to identify, measure, monitor, report and manage risks while promoting the implementation of actions to address root causes which may lead to unintended losses.
Acts as a trusted advisor across the organization in advancing Frontwave's Risk, Audit and Quality Control, objectives.
Delivers valuable insights and risk mitigation recommendations in support of business goals.
Develops new processes and procedures to enhance Risk, Audit and Quality Control activities.
Advises on day-to-day Risk, Audit and Quality Control matters and serves as an expert resource for internal stakeholders, and provides risk-based advice, drives operational efficiency, manages and thinks cross functionally.
Evaluates data to determine efficiencies via technologies, tools and/or process improvements.
Ensures policies, procedures, and practices are examined for compliance with law and regulation.
Additional duties, as requested or assigned.
Adheres to all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies, especially those related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) issues, and Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing. Ensures compliance through ongoing training and collaboration with the compliance team. Maintains thorough records and assists in audits to address any deficiencies.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Undergraduate degree or international equivalent
5 years or more banking experience with a demonstrated focus on Risk, Audit and Quality Control.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Very strong process and problem-solving skills at both strategic and functional levels.
Strong knowledge of risk and audit processes and is familiar with a wide range of related concepts, principles, and practices found in financial institutions.
Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.
Sufficient knowledge to resolve and answer complex risk and audit related questions.
Proficient at finding inconsistencies, detecting patterns, and communicating concerns.
Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, both verbal and written.
Collaborative and team-based approach.
Strong decision making and investigative skills, analytical skills as well as problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Salary Range: $87, 254.82- (phone number removed)
