Overview:
Blackhawk Network is seeking a Payments Operations Manager who will be responsible for providing global payments operations support for Blackhawk's growing digital commerce product lines. This role involves working closely with internal product, risk, accounting/settlement and engineering teams and also with Blackhawk's payments acquiring partners.
The Payments Operations Manager will have ownership over the onboarding and enablement of new payment methods as well as the performance and optimization of payment authorization rates. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers experience seamless payments processes, giving them the most efficient and optimal payment checkout experience. The role will report to the Senior Director of Global Payment Acceptance.
Responsibilities:
Provide global payments acquiring operations support for digital commerce product lines (i.e., (url removed), Cashstar, SpaFinder, etc )
Work closely with Blackhawk's Direct-to-Consumer, Online Commerce Solutions, and Incentives teams to enable new and existing payment types (Credit, Debit, PayPal, Local APMs) across various digital commerce platforms in 26+ countries
Improve operational aspects of new payments onboarding which involves dependencies and alignment across multiple cross-functional teams including Risk, Accounting/Settlement, Product, I&O, and Partner/Customer support
Responsible for merchant account and payment setup documentation with payments acquiring partners
Regularly monitor payments processing approval rates and SLAs leveraging internal dashboards and acquirer portals, and identify/implement opportunities areas to ensure optimal processing efficiency
Partner with Risk, Engineering and payments acquiring partners to identify and resolve payment acceptance oddities and inefficiencies
Review and enhance payment processes and procedures to streamline payment operations and improve efficiency; identify opportunities for automation, standardization and optimization of payment workflows
Ensure payments service provider billing is done timely and accurately
Facilitate annual compliance reviews requested by payments acquiring and payment service providers
Serve as a primary point of contact for payment acquiring partners for addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues in a times and effective manner
Maintain a continuous line of communication, keeping internal partners and stakeholders informed of critical issues
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in payment operations within payment technology, financial services, e-commerce, payments risk/fraud operations, or payment customer support
Strong understanding of financial, e-commerce, and payment industries
Strong research, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, communication skills, self-driven, detail-oriented and quick-learner
Experience working with payments acquirers, issuing banks and card networks
Systems-oriented mindset, capable of grasping the broader operational landscape beyond day-to-day challenges
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Benefits:
Salary Range for California Residents Only: $86,520.00 to $(phone number removed)
