Position Summary:

The Retail Merchandising & Business Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and presenting product assortments tailored to customer needs, analyzing SKU productivity, and implementing effective retail merchandising strategies. This role is crucial in driving product performance and ensuring that our retail operations are aligned with our company's goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Product Assortment Development:

  • Collaborate with buyers to craft product assortments that meet customer needs, enhance existing programs, and explore new opportunities.
  • Present product assortments to internal and external stakeholders, aligning them with company objectives and customer expectations.

Business Analysis & Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze sales and usage reports to evaluate SKU productivity and uncover opportunities for increased turnover and sell-through.
  • Proactively manage the product life cycle, maintaining optimal inventory levels and maximizing product performance.

Retail Merchandising:

  • Design and implement planogram templates and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for retail merchandising.
  • Train merchandise representatives in retail merchandising techniques through in-store sessions or webinars.
  • Travel to retail locations quarterly to oversee merchandising efforts and provide hands-on support.

Operational Management:

  • Develop and execute a time-management system to ensure seamless day-to-day business operations.
  • Refine processes and procedures to boost efficiency and productivity, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Technology & Tools:

  • Utilize MS Office, with a strong emphasis on advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) to analyze data and produce detailed reports.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operations and drive overall business performance.

Adaptability & Innovation:

  • Embrace change and continuously seek innovative solutions to improve processes and drive growth.
  • Think creatively to solve problems and identify new opportunities for efficiency.

Industry Knowledge & Trends:

  • Stay informed about apparel industry trends and apply this knowledge to develop product assortments and merchandising strategies.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in fashion and industry trends, contributing to our cutting-edge approach
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate retail environment, with a focus on merchandising and business operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with experience in advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the apparel industry and an interest in trends are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once a quarter).
