Job description
Akkodis is searching for a Mechanical Engineer III to take on the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems including HVAC and Plumbing.
Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $70k - $120k/Annual
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Responsibilities:
Utilize basic engineering principles and techniques, relating to the use of equipment and materials used in engineering operations.
Review specifications, technical manuals, and other technical documentation.
Coordinate mechanical system design with architects and other consultants.
Assist higher level engineers in engineering tasks, and project management tasks for assigned projects.
Provide direct support to the assigned project managers or team leads.
May assist with preparation of proposals, reports, and research technical information to support and design systems.
Support planning and execution efforts for technical investigations, analyses, and testing.
Provide supporting technical and logistics documentation relative to recommended design improvements and performance requirements.
Load calculations.
Assist with equipment selection.
Analysis of equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection
Produces drawings and specifications for projects with little supervision.
Developing system narratives (write and organize the document, as well as develop the images)
Preferred Skills and Experience
Execute work completely, accurately and on-time.
Solid time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks.
High level of proficiency, acute attention to detail.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
Experience with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or alike multi-dimensional system.
Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills.
Ability to collaborate with diverse set of clients and subcontractors.
Adaptability and flexibility in navigating a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or accuracy.
Capable of establishing priorities to meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
5+ years relevant experience in Engineering.
Current PE registration preferred; E.I.T./F.E. accepted in lieu of PE.
Green program certified, such as LEED, highly preferred.
