Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Job Overview: As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading teams of contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints while meeting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



  1. Project Planning and Coordination:


    • Develop project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources required.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all parties are aligned with project goals.
    • Obtain necessary permits and licenses and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  2. Budget and Cost Management:


    • Prepare and maintain project budgets and track expenses.
    • Control project costs by approving expenditures, monitoring invoice processing, and reviewing change orders.
  3. Schedule Management:


    • Develop and maintain project schedules.
    • Monitor progress against schedule milestones and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.
  4. Quality Assurance and Safety:


    • Implement quality control programs to ensure workmanship meets standards and specifications.
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  5. Team Leadership and Communication:


    • Lead project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff.
    • Conduct regular meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and coordinate tasks.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
  6. Risk Management:


    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
    • Address issues as they arise to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:


    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.
    • Prepare regular reports on project status, budget, and schedule performance for management and stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction scheduling and project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Work Environment:


  • Typically based in an office setting with regular visits to construction sites.
  • May require travel to project locations and occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
