Position Summary:

As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting. You will be handling things like reviewing the general ledger, preparing monthly and quarterly reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and preparing for year-end audits. You'll also support our international activities including preparing consolidations. Besides the day-to-day accounting, you'll be overseeing and helping the accounting team grow, working closely with the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations such as fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, debt, and inventory.

Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts

Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and facilitate timely and accurate tax filings with our tax providers

Oversee the management of accounts payable ensuring timely payment activities.

Lead and mentor direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving queries.

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, recommending and implementing changes as required.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.

Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or a similar role, preferably in a startup environment.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Proficient in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance professionals.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

Knowledge of relevant accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, (url removed), Expensify, Shiphero) is a plus.

Salary Range:$130,000 - $150,000
Plus bonus and stock options
