Position Title: After School Program Alternative School K-8

We are currently seeking committed and passionate Program Assistant to support Program Leaders with academic, and physical activities at Lawton Alternative School K-8. Program Assistants must be able to work with up to 20 youths during afterschool program hours Monday through Friday.

Benefits

Pay rate: $22 - $23 an hour DOE

Flexible hours negotiated upon hiring (20 hours per week)

16 paid BACR holidays

Minimum Requirements

Ability to work Monday - Friday until 7:00 pm for the duration of the school year (hours will be determined at time of offer, between 20 hours per week until 7:00pm)

Ability to pass criminal background check and TB test clearance

Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam

Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.

Have strong classroom management skills

Experience working with Elementary youth preferred

Responsibilities

Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students

Must be able to work independently or part of a team

Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times

Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language
