Job description
Apogee is seeking a Military Operations Analyst to support the 1st Space Brigade S3 Operations and Missile Defense Battery. The purpose of this TO is to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support two distinct aspects of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Training, Readiness, and Exercise Division. Incumbent will support the Certifications and Evaluations (C&E) Branch, responsible for assessing the subordinate command's certification process, validation of the unit's readiness and progress toward attaining command end-state conditions, achieving command objectives, and performing command tasks to support the command's Standards and Evaluations Program. What you'll be doing: Provide support for ongoing global Missile Defense Battery operations including developing products, staff updates, briefings, and training guidance following FM 7-0 and command directives. Support planning, development, refinement, execution, and record-keeping of certification evaluations following the USASMDC Certification SOP and Certification and Evaluations Branch guidance. Augment the Standards and Evaluations team as an evaluator during Table VIII certifications to include worldwide and hardship duty locations, as needed. Assist in reviewing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the 1st Space Brigade Standards and Evaluation program following the USASMDC Standards and Evaluations Program. When explicitly directed by the government, the contractor will attend the USASMDC Deployment Working Group / Exercise working group, support exercise development, and coordinate exercise support from subordinate units. Minimum Requirements Citizenship: US Citizenship required Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS Education: HS Diploma Years of Experience: 8-10 years of Military operations experience 5+ years of Missile Defense/Warning experience Experience conducting evaluations and training support globally Strong analytical, technological, and organizational skills Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet communicated schedules and deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Requirements Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility Education: Bachelor's degree Years of Experience: 6-10+ years of relevant Missile Defense/Warning experience Completion of Space 100 Sensor Manager Qualification Course (SMQC), USASMDC Sensor Manager Leader Development Course (SMLDC), USASMDC Experience in Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 14E, Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator or 14H Enhanced Early Warning Systems Operator Compensation and Benefits: Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000 - $115,000 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
