What Would You Do? The right candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with requests for oil changes, general maintenance work, and sells additional services to customers. This position writes up work orders, distributes work to technicians, accurately maintains records, supports promotional activities, monitors inventory, and complies with safety and environmental programs and practices. They are responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Ensures that all service-related documents are accounted for and obtains accurate customer and vehicle data.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers promptly, answering questions about service outcomes, and providing solutions to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Schedules appointments using dealership-approved forms/software.
  • Communicates with customers to determine the nature of the service they need (oil change, flat repair, alignment, etc.) while advising customers about warranty protections and potential cost savings.
  • Calls customers to inform them of service changes, to let them know their vehicle is ready for pick-up, or to give them progress updates if service is not complete.
  • Gives all customers fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Consults with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
  • Manages and oversees the lube rack(s) workflow.
  • Properly and thoroughly processes payments and all accompanying paperwork.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Do you have the necessary education and experience?

  • High school degree or equivalent is required.
  • Two plus years of progressive experience in auto service.
  • 1+ years of lube technician experience is preferred.
