Job description
The Electronic Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of electronic engineers engaged in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems and components.

Our client is a Manufacturer of emergency warning and lighting products including sirens, light bars, and signaling devices used by Police, Fire and EMS.
Description
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of electronic engineers.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Support resources effectively to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
- Project Management:
- Work with Project and Product Managers to support Agile team projects based on business and organizational goals and deadlines.
- Coordinate with other functional areas, such as production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor team progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide daily technical guidance and support to team members.
- Review and approve design specifications, schematics, and test plans.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and help team members in providing solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronic engineering.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems into larger products or systems.
- Work closely with the Sourcing team regarding suppliers and vendors to source components and materials.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss project requirements and updates.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Implement tools and methodologies to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- Encourage innovation and creativity within the team.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Audit project activities, including design documents, test results, and change orders.
- As required, prepare reports for senior management, highlighting project status, milestones achieved, and any issues encountered.
Ensure compliance with documentation requirements, such as ISO standards
Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electronic design, development, and testing.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in electronic design software and testing equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO, IEEE, and EMC directives.
- Must be personable and able to work well as part of a passionate, dedicated team in order to represent the core family values while interacting with fellow employees, customers, and vendors necessary to get product design to the marketplace.
- Familiar with CAN, USB, Ethernet and other common communication protocols.
- Experience with Atlassian development and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Experience with Altium Designer Software and Tools
