Senior Accountant - Healthcare Sector

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial records, assist in month-end closing, and support overall financial operations. Compensation: $75,000-$85,000/year with quarterly performance bonuses.
Location: Middletown, CT (Hybrid - up to 4 days of remote work per week).

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist in the monthly and yearly closing process.
• Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare accounting practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
