Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services' company, is looking for an Generative AI Advisor to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) Advanced Research Projects Agency For Health (ARPA-H) In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a "systems engineering and technical assistance" advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Resilience Systems Office (RSO).

Responsibilities
- Lead the ideation / conceptualization, overall strategy and oversight of multiple programs utilizing large language models for a variety of healthcare applications, to include patient-facing chat agents, solutions to enhance interoperability amongst electronic health records (EHRs) systems via NLP, and overall synthesis of public health data to prioritize programs and at-risk populatins.
- Utilize your in-depth NLP/LLM (e.g., neural networks, training methods, addresses bias) knowledge and skills to assist ARPA-H shape future programs and manage the delivery of multiple disparate performer team.
- Analyze and interpret complex healthcare data using AI/ML methods:
- Ideate and establish initiatives to enhance diagnosis, risk assessment, and drug discovery.
- Utilize healthcare knowledge and machine learning methods to identify patterns and insights from vast datasets of medical records, genomics information, and wearable device data.
- Stay current with scientific advancements
- Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
- Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
- Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
- Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering / scientific field
- 20 years professional experience
- 10 years minimum experience in natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and machine learning within the healthcare ecosystem
- Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
- Two years or more experience in Federal Healthcare and/or Scientific Consulting.
- Experience supporting complex healthcare and programs of a research and development nature.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
