Overview:
FTE: 1.0

Shift Hours: DAYS

Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY

Collaborates with customers, Information Services, Vendors, peers in the informatics role, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute information technology plans including software applications and hardware related to clinical workflows. Interacts daily with staff to communicate and resolve information technology needs. Acts as advocate for staff relative to clinical IT issues. Provides a key link between medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical users, senior administration, and Information Services. Utilizes knowledge of clinical workflow to provide input into application development, implementation, training and continuous support. This role provides information systems support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and relevant work experience is required

Master's Degree and IT related certifications are preferred

Examples of relevant work experience include minimum 5 years of one or a combination of the following: healthcare experience, EMR system experience (Epic preferred), Training and Education development, project management, programming/coding, technical problem solving, and system implementation coordination

Must have knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

Must have strong analytical abilities, problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as, demonstrated cross-team collaboration

Licensure/Certification/Registration: None

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver" NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
