Construction Controller
Relocation OR travel to Bermuda
$120,000 - 150,000

About the Construction Controller opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Construction Controller to join this team and play a pivotal role in the latest project in Bermuda. The Construction Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of this high-value project, ensuring financial controls, and supporting the successful execution of the construction contract. This would be a paid relocation for the 2 year project with housing/transportation paid OR traveling to and from Bermuda two weeks of the month.

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Controller:

  • Manage and oversee the financial operations of the $90 million construction project in Bermuda, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers and senior management to provide accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures to monitor project costs, revenue, and overall financial performance.
  • Monitor and analyze project financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and financial statements for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, lenders, and other financial institutions as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and accounting systems for the project.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements in Bermuda.
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for the construction project.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes related to the project.
  • Oversee the financial team and coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Controller in construction or real estate industry, with a track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards and Bermuda tax regulations is a plus.
