Position Description

The Vice President, Sales is responsible for the Sales, Profitability, Customer Service, and Financial Transactions occurring between customer(s), and involvement in development and execution of Refresco Beverage Category Plans.

Essential Functions:

Direct and coordinate all activities of subordinates in the following areas: Retail Sales, Trade Sales and Customer Service.

As a senior member of leadership, help define business strategy/process and align resources and priorities that are consistent with agreed upon business direction.

Be a role model for leading change throughout the company. Manage relationship with Retail and Trade customer base.

Work collaboratively around the company to service and support these channels and key accounts. Develop a strategy to grow customer base consistent with Long Range Plan.

Oversee and direct appropriate Retail and Trade Sales efforts. Ensure Retail and Trade sales efforts are focused on profit improvement and contribution margin goals, while staying consistent with strategic plan.

Ensure proper legal considerations and contract negotiations are reviewed.

Develop, coach and mentor a Sales team capable of carrying out operating strategies, while enhancing employee engagement. This team should promote a 'World-Class' organization.

Provide direct leadership, mentoring and be responsible for developing sales leaders through a succession plan.

Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.

Work closely with the Demand Planning team and Product life Cycle team with regards to forecasting inventory levels and aftermarket sales.

Constantly review market conditions and communicates to management competitor information, price concerns, new regulations, and/or issues related to possible service interruptions or other market changes.

Help ensure all functional areas adhere to proper customer compliance programs. Make customer visits to ensure compliance and follow-up and bring closure to any customer non-compliance issues.

Develop budgets/plans that add value and accomplish business objectives.

Ensure areas and/or projects managed directly are operating within scope of budget and time guidelines. Initiate and recommend the purchase of new equipment, technology, asset improvement or utilization of outside resources as needed.

Communicate effectively across all functional areas with associates at all levels; gaining respect, trust, credibility, while motivating others for success.

Establish standards of performance that clearly communicates expectations and builds accountability.

Ensure personnel are property trained on procedures, disciplines, system/equipment functionality, and safety.

Promote a safe, positive and effective work environment. Manage in a way that supports Refresco's values, goals and objectives.

Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.

Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.

Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.

Directs market channel development activity & coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas & goals.

Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.

Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

Directs product research and development.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

University Degree in Business Management or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years' successful sales experience at the Director Level

Solid understanding of the Canadian & Mexico retail environment

Solid understanding of marketing/category management principles and comprehensive financial awareness.

Working Conditions:

Onsite - this position is located onsite at our Tampa, FL corporate office.

Physical Demands - continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.

Visual/Sensory - this position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.

Work Environment - work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure.
