Income Tax Manager

The Income Tax Manager will m anage the preparation and review of consolidated federal and state corporate income tax workpapers and tax returns and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax forms. This role requires 10 years of extensive interaction with internal and external auditors and internal departments.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the preparation and review of consolidated federal and state corporate income tax workpapers and tax returns and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax forms
  • Prepare and review state apportionment factors
  • Prepare and review quarterly estimated and annual extension tax payments
  • Assist in preparation/review of annual tax provision to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with ASC 740, including preparation of the tax footnote, deferred tax assets/liabilities, valuation allowance, UTPs, SOX documentation, etc.
  • Assist in preparation/review of quarterly tax provision and tax cash forecasts
  • Support and manage relationship with third party income tax compliance service providers
  • Support and manage relationship with third party property tax service provider
  • Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities as well as follow up on tax notices
  • Perform/review monthly reconciliation of key general ledger accounts
  • Support tax aspects of M&A diligence efforts
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency in tax compliance reporting and operations
  • Act as liaison between tax and accounting departments by maintaining, establishing and communicating proper policies and procedures
  • Remain current on changes to tax regulations and processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 10 years in a corporate tax department/accounting firm
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Excel
  • Great communication skills

Preferred:
  • CPA certificate
  • Experience with SAP
