Job Description
This position will provide technical support processing, purchasing, invoicing processing, and budget analysis with the IT division. This position provides IT support services in a variety of areas for the Department of Aviation. This position will manage of contracts and maintenance support coverage for hardware and software, and professional services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business Process Analyst Sr. will be responsible for all technology purchasing and maintenance support renewals, working and identifying appropriate procurement method. To ensure that budget allocation is in place and approved for procurement items and to conduct cost reduction analysis and budget allocation analysis. This position requires working with multiple IT leaders, IT disciplines, divisions, and city support groups for budgeting, purchasing, and maintaining IT contracts. The analyst will work as a contractual liaison between vendor, IT technical groups, and appropriate divisional group. The analyst will negotiate costs, facilitate contract execution, and assist in enforcing the proper procedure for approval and payment of all supplier activities. The analyst will identify areas of risk in the Department of Aviation's IT relationships and contracts, mitigating those risks wherever possible. The analyst will also be responsible for working with suppliers to manage ongoing supplier relationships, to review vendor performance and to renegotiate terms where appropriate. The analyst will coordinate with all entities ensuring appropriate documentation is provided for contract execution.
The analyst will assist with the development and management of the annual IT budget, producing weekly funds available reports, purchase order encumbrance reports, daily tracking of procurement activities, and quarterly analysis of budget vs actual spending. To assist with tracking all key technical business service reported issues, working with all entities for resolution and continuous report updates.
