General Description and Classification Standards
The Watershed Crew Supervisor II (D) Operations plans, organizes, and supervises restoration activities supporting the wastewater collection, and water distribution field operations. Oversees brick masonry work, driveway apron repair, curb raising, repair, and installation, roadway repair (concrete basing), street and bicycle lane grate repair, catch basin modifications, installation, and repair, makes decisions on job sites, and supervises individual crew members. An experienced professional able to execute most tasks with limited guidance or review. Work is completed under the direction of the Area Superintendent and receives guidance for overall mission, scheduling, problem solving, and unusual priorities.
Supervision Received
Works under direct supervision of the Area Superintendent. Normally receives guidance regarding overall mission, scheduling, problem solving, unusual priorities, etc. and follows standardized procedures and written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks; may assist in training, orienting, or observing lower-level associate, apprentice, or semi-skilled employee in the group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensures work is completed safely and in compliance with the rules, regulations, and policies.
- Trains, instructs, and coaches crew in performing repair and maintenance of other systems and structures such as repairing broken water mains and service lines, installing water meters, valves, curb cocks, corporations, and hydrants.
- Implements traffic control and pedestrian safety.
- Ensure daily job documentation is entered into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Provides input for employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Assists with hands-on training of staff and new hires and coaching employees.
- Answers questions and provides information to the public.
- Maintains accurate records and activity sheets.
- Ensures safety of crew and public at all times.
- Follows standard operating procedures (SOP) and written instructions to complete tasks.
Decision Making
Ensures the safety of crew members and the public at all times. Follows standard operating procedures (SOP) and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. May use expertise to adjust methods to accommodate unforeseen site conditions.
Leadership Provided
Supervision is provided to crew members on a daily basis. At times, this position will assist with hands-on training of staff and new hires as well as coaching of employees.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education and Experience
MININUM REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of experience in water distribution construction or maintenance and Supervisory experience
- Georgia CDL Class A (Required)
- Wastewater Collection License (Required)
