Job Title: Electrician Reporting to: Engineering & Maintenance Manager We are seeking an experienced Electrician in a manufacturing plant will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. They work with electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:
I. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Will be responsible for Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components in the manufacturing plant.
This includes wiring, conduit, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and control panels.
Follow electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installation.
Diagnose electrical problems, faults, or malfunctions in plant equipment and systems.
Use testing devices and meters to identify the root causes of issues.
Repair or replace defective components, such as faulty wiring, switches, or motors.
Ensure the timely resolution of electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures when working on electrical equipment.
Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure proper grounding, insulation, and circuit integrity. Install safety devices, such as surge protectors and ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs), as required.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure their optimal performance.
Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of electrical components.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment logs.
Install, program, and troubleshoot control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor control centers (MCCs), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
Collaborate with automation engineers or technicians to integrate electrical systems with manufacturing processes and equipment.
Assist in electrical system upgrades, expansions, or modifications to support changes in production requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute electrical projects.
Install new electrical equipment or systems according to project specifications.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Prepare reports and documentation related to electrical activities, such as work orders, equipment logs, or maintenance schedules.
Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to supervisors or relevant stakeholders.
Use and maintain electrical tools, instruments, and testing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Monitor inventory levels of electrical supplies and materials.
Coordinate with the procurement department to order necessary parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as technicians, engineers, or maintenance personnel, to coordinate work activities and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments regarding electrical projects, timelines, and any deviations from plans.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in electrical technology, and relevant regulations.
Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Keep abreast of new electrical products, materials, and techniques.
Qualifications:
Il. Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or an apprenticeship in electrical trade is required.
Valid electrician license or certification, as per local requirements.
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and safety practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
