Final Line Mechanic I

Job Title: Final Line Mechanic I
Job Type: Full Time; Contract
Location: Savannah, GA
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $25.66 per hour



Position Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as a Final Line Mechanic I, where you will play a crucial role in the final assembly of cutting-edge aircraft. In this team-oriented environment, you'll install various parts, components, lines, and cables, ensuring each project meets rigorous quality standards. Your work will directly contribute to the final inspection phase, ensuring that every aircraft conforms to our high specifications.



What We're Looking For:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical work such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment. An A&P license can offset the experience requirement.

  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. Proficiency with tools for drilling, reaming, and fitting parts.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly & Installation: Assemble, install, and adjust structural parts and systems, including rigging control cables, landing gear, engines, and aircraft entry doors.

  • Repair & Maintenance: Perform repairs by removing and replacing components, cutting and fitting system lines, ensuring all work meets conformity standards.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations are defect-free before final inspection and update necessary logs and records.

  • Tool Proficiency: Use various tools and equipment to successfully complete installations and minor structural work.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam is preferred.

  • Ability to perform tasks in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.



Pay Details: $33.87 per hour
