PE Systems, Inc. has a great opportunity for an Operations Analyst supporting COMSUBPAC in Pearl Harbor, HI. The ideal candidate will design, observe, reconstruct, analyze, and report on submarine tactical development exercises in support of Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC). GENERAL FUNCTION: Conduct exercise design, planning, and coordination with USN representatives. Collect data and reconstruct exercises. Conduct analysis of submarine exercise and real-world operations. Write reports and briefs on submarine tactics. Present technical results to Navy and civilian organizations. Ride submarines for short periods to observe exercises. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customers. Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives. Attend work each day during scheduled work hours unless on approved travel or time off. Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required (see WORKING CONDITIONS below). Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime. Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested. QUALIFICATIONS: BA degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering, and in-field experience in quantitative submarine operations analysis. Master's degree (MA/MS) is a plus. Prefer previous experience as a Submarine Officer (1120) or Squadron staff served Sonar Technician. In-depth knowledge of current submarine tactical doctrine related to submarine search, approach, tracking, and attack. In-depth knowledge of capabilities and limitations of submarine sensors, weapons, and combat systems including: AN/BQQ-10 Sonar System and current TI/APBs Advanced Towed Arrays AN/BYG-1 Fire Control System and current TI/APBs Sonar Tactical Decision Aid (STDA) and PCIMAT MK-48 ADCAP torpedoes Skilled in computer reconstruction of ship tracks and correlation of operational data, including the ability to deal with incomplete, poor quality or inconsistent data. Experience in drafting technical reports, memoranda, and briefing materials. Capable of riding exercise submarines as at-sea test director/observer. Must possess and maintain a Top Secret government security clearance. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, and other standard (Customer specified) applications.
