Job description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to support the Surface Warfare Schools Command (SWSC) as a Damage Control (DC) Firefighting Contractor Instructor. The DC Instructor will provide technical and military training, offering instructor services and remediation for Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, including both Navy and Allied Forces officers and enlisted personnel, who are temporarily assigned to SWSC in Pearl Harbor, HI. Requirements
Qualifications: Must be a former Senior (E5 - E9) Surface Ship Damage Controlman or a similar rating. Must meet high-risk training standards. Training: Must have completed seven (7) of the following courses: General Shipboard Fire Fighting Training - Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) (A-)
Shipboard Fire Fighting Integrated Team Trainer (A-)
Shipboard Firefighting / Damage Control Emergency Team Member (A-)
Shipboard Aircraft Fire Fighting (J-)
Air Capable Ship Helicopter Fire Fighting (J-)
Advanced Shipboard Fire Fighting (J-)
Damage Control Repair Party Team Leader (K-)
Shipboard Damage Control Team Trainer (K-)
Damage Control Petty Officer (K-)
AFFF Foam Generation (K-)
Gas Free Engineering (K-)
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures, shipboard and aircraft firefighting procedures, and shipboard damage control procedures. Instructor Qualifications: At least 3 years of technical experience in the subject area and 2 years in a Military Training Environment (these can overlap). Must be certified as an instructor in the relevant field (e.g., NETC requirements) and possess knowledge of learning principles, presentation methods, and technical training equipment.
