Volt is immediately hiring off-shift Ultrasonic NDT Technicians to work onsite for a local leading organization in Decatur, IL. 2nd and 3rd shifts are available with overtime throughout the week and on Saturdays.
As an Ultrasonic NDT Technician you will:
- Work as part of a team that performs receiving, in-stream process, and outgoing quality audits to validate cast and fabricated structures per weld engineering and manufacturing specifications.
- Perform Shear-wave Ultrasonic inspection.
- Magnetic particle (wet/dry), liquid penetrant, visual weld inspection and other non-destructive inspection methods are occasionally required.
- Interpret Inspection documentation and Standard work and create reports/ documentation of inspection.
- Track and enter inspection results in electronic databases.
- Follow facility safety guidelines while performing work.
This is a full time opportunity.
Will be evaluated for conversion to in-house employment at the end of the assignment.
Ultrasonic NDT Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Individuals must have a HS diploma or GED; an Associate degree or technical certification in Nondestructive Testing Methods is highly preferred.
- Good communication, teamwork skills, and the ability to support a high velocity manufacturing environment are critical.
- Ability to self-manage time and responsibilities on off shift.
- Must have previous Ultrasonic Testing experience.
- Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements.
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Magnetic Particle Testing
- Visual Testing
- Radiographic Testing (Industrial Radiographer State Card)
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Quality Control
- Manufacturing or machining experience.
Pay Rate: Between $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
