Job description

Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our USAF Air Mobility Command Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Functional Help Desk Team. The Help Desk Technician Level I provides first-line technical support to end users on various technical issues, including PC hardware and software, operating systems, and network connectivity. This entry-level position focuses on problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up to ensure user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques and work under the guidance of senior technicians. Duties & Responsibilities Respond to and diagnose user issues through phone, email, or in-person interaction. Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution. Assist in problem recognition, research, and resolution steps to restore service. Provide first-tier support to end-users on various technical issues. Follow up with users to ensure their problems are fully resolved. Work closely with higher-level technicians to escalate and resolve more complex issues. Participate in maintaining help desk operation, serving as the focal point for customer concerns. Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Minimum 2 years of functional/technical experience in IT help desk or customer support roles. High School Diploma or Equivalent with functional/technical experience and appropriate certifications. Basic knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and software troubleshooting. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with end-users. Ability to document and track user problems effectively.
