Department Information

The Project Assistant EARN Indiana Internship for the 21st Century Scholars Program is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks under direct supervision and independently. The primary area of responsibility is to provide project management, assessment, and evaluation within the areas of project development, event facilitation, and peer development.

Job Summary

  • Assesses, evaluates, and supports the following areas: event facilitation, peer development, project development, selected program activities, and collection of student data.
  • Provides reports based upon assessment of data.
  • Career readiness programs for 21st CSP.
  • Follows FERPA policy and confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned with less than 25 percent considered clerical in pursuit of the above responsibilities.
  • Arrives promptly at scheduled shift times.
  • Follows all office and University policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student full-time at Indiana University Bloomington during the academic term which may include summer.
  • 2.5 minimum semester and cumulative GPA for the duration of service.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • Demonstrated experience with coursework, programming, planning, and social media experience.
SKILLS

Required
  • Self-motivated, organized, and responsible.
  • Able to work in a close team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to work comfortably and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess interest in event planning and marketing.
  • Knowledge of common office computer software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Possess good problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills as well as a professional demeanor.

Additional Information

  • Employee performance is evaluated on a semester basis to determine if they are meeting the goals established.
  • Any employee found responsible for academic or personal misconduct resulting in probationary status with the university, will be removed from this role immediately.
  • Must be an Indiana resident.
